1 Month Later

It has been 1 month since my last competition where I competed for the first time in the Figure category and won 1st Place Novice and 2nd Place Open!  I was so very happy with my accomplishment!

I was not sure that I could do the Figure category well but I was determined to go into the NPAA show and do my very best and I succeeded!  The reason for my apprehension was that I decided to do this with only 3 weeks to prepare!  I focused, worked hard and pushed myself out of my comfort zone!  When you DREAM BIG things happen!

Breaking Barriers!!

Post show can always be the toughest part for a competitor.  I have done 5 competitions in the last 2 years and this time I can honestly say that I feel great and I am doing great!

In just the last month I am already seeing some gains in my physique and I am loving it!  I have learned to LOVE my body and the way it looks post competition.  It looks healthy and fit!  I need to look this way to work hard at the gym and keep up with being a wife and a Mom!

Post competition I do take a few days for a break and have my treats and my fun but really I love living my fit and healthy lifestyle so getting back to the gym a couple days after the competition is what I love to do.  It keeps me focused and motivated!

my motivation

To sum it up….right now I am feeling like a ROCKSTAR!

I am getting good sleep, eating healthy food with a few treats thrown in there…I am human and I LOVE FOOD!!  and wine! HA!  But the biggest thing for me right now is working HARD at the gym to focus on the goals I have set for myself and make it happen!

I also have a few strength goals I would like to achieve and those involve pull ups…I will keep you posted on that!

Also, another goal for myself is to make sure I am treating my body well and to help prevent injuries.  So I have two goals that I set.  That is a 1 hour massage once a month and going to a Yin Yoga class once a week.  Yin Yoga is a warm class were you hold poses for 3-5 minutes which helps you get a GOOD stretch and that is so important for me!  I do not stretch enough and I need to change this.  I took my first class last Sunday and it was wonderful…I loved it and will be going again!

Some of my goals brings to mind #LiveLifeProject that has been inspired by my fellow teammate Theresa Jenn Lopetrone.  To live life now and do things you have always wanted to do but have not for some reason or held back on.  I think I am going to start doing more of this…you only live once and I want to make the best of it!

LIve to inspire
