10 Week FYM Challenge starts today

Yup, I signed up for another challenge with Fit Yummy Mummy!  I am excited!  Why? Because I love doing the challenges they light a fire under my butt and provide me with awesome motivation!  Plus I get to connect with other like minded ladies from the FYM website that are also trying to transform their post baby bodies and get a healthy and fit lifestyle too.

This challenge runs for 10 weeks so it runs through my planned holidays!  10 days in Maui and then 4 days in Vegas.  But I am really going to make the most of the challenge until we leave for Hawaii but I still plan to keep myself on track and not go crazy while on holidays.  We have rented a house so I will be able to have healthy meals and snacks.  But don’t get me wrong it is holidays and I still plan to indulge a little bit.

For this challenge I will be following the last week of the Trouble Spot Solution Program and then moving onto the monthly workouts that are provided to me on Club FYM as part of my monthly membership.

Since today was day one of the challenge I did manage to get my workout done in the afternoon.  It is the long weekend here and the whole family was home our regular routine will not start until tomorrow.

BREAKFAST

This morning I decided a protein pancake would be nice.

I topped it with PB2, blueberries and strawberries.  I also had a cup of coffee.

Most of my morning was spent running after the boys, doing laundry, getting Jaxin’s school bag ready for tomorrow and prepping and making a tasty lunch!

LUNCH

I whipped up a frittata with a bunch of veggies that needed to be eaten up.

In the frittata I put:

a “crust” of sweet potatoes and diced onion, then layered zucchini, orange pepper diced up, fresh basil and feta cheese.

The last part about 8 egg whites and 1 whole egg seasoned with a little salt and pepper.

Baked in the oven for about 30 minutes until firm in the middle.

I had a big wedge along with grape tomatoes and an orange.  YUM!

WORKOUT (strength training)

When Zaxari went down for his afternoon nap I did my workout.

I am on the last week of the Trouble Spot Solution and then I am done.  It has been a great program and I have liked how it has challenged my body in a new way.  It did help whittled away my middle a little as well!

Today I decided to increase my weights and challenge myself more.

For the Renegade rows I increased my weights from 12lbs to 15lbs.  Defiantly felt more challenging!

With the one-leg deadlift I increased my weight from 25lbs to 30lbs.  I could feel it in my butt and legs for sure.  I finished up with a sweaty finisher!  Love those finishers…just when you think you can’t keep going…you can!

After my workout I had my Post Workout shake.

SUPPER

Tonight supper was kind of just thrown together.  Protein and produce…and a little starch.

We barbequed some chicken souvlaki skewers and I also put some brussel sprouts on the there too halved, wrapped in tin foil with a little EVOO, salt and pepper.  YUM!  I also had one scoop of some Jaxin’s Annie’s Mac & Cheese.

I put lots of hot sauce on my chicken.  It tasted great and I was enjoying the spice tonight!

The brussel sprouts cooked perfectly and tasted so yummy!

WATER INTAKE

I had about 2 litres today…but I was pretty busy and distracted today. Tomorrow will be better!

Wrap up:

Well tomorrow my little man Jaxin will be attending his first day of Kindergarten in a public school!  I am nervous and excited for him all at the same time.  He loves school so I have no worries that he is not going to love it.  I just have worries because it will not be as hands on and one on one as it was for him in pre-school.  There will be an Aid in the classroom but there is also another little boy that she will be assisting too.  So Jaxin is going to have to listen and learn to be more independent.  Which is a good thing but I just hope he won’t be too much of handful for the teacher.  We will just have to see how this week goes.

So tonight I have plans to got to bed my 10:30pm.  That is now my new goal..sleep is important no more late nights for me!  It is currently 9pm and I need to finish the laundry and get things organized for tomorrow…so here I go!
