Even though the weather is grey and gloomy we hit the pavement and went for a walk today. It was almost noon and we were getting hungry so we walked a little and found a place.
A little Japanese Bistro. The hubs wanted some sushi but since I was just starting to feel better I wanted something cooked. So this was a bit of a compromise. Plus a warm bowl of miso sounded good to me!
I started with a warm cup of green tea.
As we waited for lunch the hubs checked his email!
I ordered the bento box with teriyaki chicken, salad, rice and tempura. It came with a steamy bowl of miso soup.
My bento box was huge!

It actually had a little more food than I needed! I happily munched away at it though.
The tempura was great. They gave me two big huge shrimp. I only had one and passed the other off to hubs…since he was eyeing it!
I enjoyed about half of the rice, most of the salad and almost all the chicken minus the skin. I picked that off.
I just ate until I was satisfied since I did not want to push the limits of my tummy.
After lunch we took a bit of a stroll through the downtown.
We came out of the restaurant we were on Granville Street Mall.
We walked up to Robson Street and started from there.
Robson Street has most of the high end stores lining it and I saw this one!
I went in….and walked out with a little something! I will share that later
Next we walked towards the harbour until we reached here.
This is one the host building sites for the Winter Olympics. There was a bunch of construction going on when we passed.
We walked along the rail and looked out onto the water.
There was a sea plane taking off.
Next we walked up to Gastown.
I was getting a bit of a chill so I stopped for a coffee.
Dead in my tracks! when I saw this sign.
Me walking out with my Pumpkin Spice Latte and a big smile! It was delicious!
After here we walked our way back to the hotel to have a bit of rest before the concert tonight. We stopped at a little market to get a few in room goodies as well. We have a nice little fridge so it is great to house some snacks.
Now I will share my little purchase! You know that it came from Tiffany & Co.
It was wrapped up so pretty that I hated to open it!
A lovely little suede pouch to hold it….
Tada!! A Tiffany silver toggle bracelet that I have been wanting forever! I was going to buy it in New York but decided that it would be a little cheaper getting it here instead. My hubs thinks it is a crazy purchase…but he is a boy! It is beautiful and I love it!
In just a little while we will be going here to see U2!
