Busy…busy

Nov 3

That was me again today…busy!  I think though that I am finally caught up with my workload pretty much.  I just have a few other things to finish up tomorrow and then the rest of my work week looks pretty tame.  Hopefully nothing pops up!

This morning I had planned to run 2 miles on the treadmill but when I woke up my stomach was not feeling all that well plus my sleep last night was not very restful.  So I decided against my planned run.  I am hoping that tomorrow morning will be different.  I would like to do some shredding for my morning exercise.

Breakfast

I kept my breakie this morning simple with a green monster.

In my monster I put:

  • 1 scoop Amazing Grass
  • 1 scoop Wheat Grass
  • 1 tbs of Almond Butter
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 big handful of spinach

Lot-o-greens in this one!  I drank this on the way to work.  It filled me up and gave me energy to get through the morning.

Lunch

Today I had lunch earlier than normal for some reason I was hungry.  So I got into my lunch of soup and hummus on toasted sprouted grain bread.

P1030720 It was delish!  I love hummus on toast!

P1030721 After lunch my hand picked this out from the office Halloween candy bowl!

P1030723 I am a sucker for a Reese PB cup!  Soooo yummy!

Later on in the afternoon I snacked on an Ambrosia Apple and a Wasa cracker smeared with some brie.  I found the cute little single serving size portions at the grocery store and was so excited.  I love them perfectly portable in their own little container!

P1030724This snack almost tasted indulgent!

For my drive home this evening I picked a Tea out of my desk stash to sip on while driving.  It was Yogi Tea – Tahitian Vanilla.  When I got into the van I noticed the wisdom on the tea tag and really liked it.  So I snapped a picture!

Supper

This morning I pulled out some Tiger Shrimp from the freezer.  I had some pasta sauce that needed to be used up in the fridge so I threw a few things in the pan and had a very tasty Shrimp with sauce.  I made pasta for the hubs and I had my in a roasted Kabocha squash.

It was so very good!  I baked the squash while I was making the sauce and when it was done I filled it with the shrimp mixture then I topped it with Parmesan Reggiano and put it under the broiler for just a minute to melt the cheese!

Yum!  The squash was cooked perfectly and I love the creaminess with the shrimp and sauce.  I had a soft chewy multigrain roll with it.

IMG_7418 I drank some lemon spiked H2O as well.

After dinner I made myself some tummy tea

IMG_7411 In hopes to make sure I have no tummy upset tonight.

Then I got some New York planning stuff done.  I bought some tickets on line for some of the things we have on our agenda for New York.  I got tickets for the Empire State Building.  We decided on the Express Pass which gets us in front of all the lines.  It was a bit more pricey but since we have limited time in New York we want to make sure we get up there and not stand in line forever.

I also purchased our Bus Tour tickets.  We are going to do the Gray Line All Loops tour with this one I got a bit of a discount purchasing it online.  It is a Hop On Hop Off bus tour and looks like it is going to be so much fun!  It will help us cover more sites in New York and if we like what we see we can hop off and check it out if we like.

Now after my somewhat productive night I am going to relax a little before bedtime.

Have a great evening!
