I am so excited my trip to New York is 1 week away! Next Monday I will be on my way here!
My best bud and I have lots planned to do and we are going to try and pack it all in in 4 days! Here is hoping we can do it!
It is going to be a blast…this will be my first time to New York! How can you tell I am super excited…ahhhhhhh!
I got up early this morning and cranked out a weights circuit. It felt good to exercise again and break a sweat after doing not much last week in Vancouver.
It was a killer!
- Dumbbell Pile squat: 30lbs, 12 reps, 3 sets
- Push Ups: 10 reps, 3 sets
- Dumbbell Deadlift: 30lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets
- Dumbbell Row: 30lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets
- Mountain Climbers: 10 each leg, 3 sets
- Belly Blasters: 10 reps, 3 sets
Breakfast
Was an old favourite that I have not had in a long time! A Golden Pancake.
A.K.A – A protein pancake. I make this with 1/2 cup quick oats, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 3 egg whites, 1 tbs flax seed and cinnamon to taste. LOVE IT! I topped it with PB, Sugar Free Syrup and 1/2 a banana. It is very filling and so darn good.
Of course my first day back to work after having a week off was just busy..busy..busy! I worked through my lunch too!
Lunch today was nothing to photograph! It did not look at all pretty but it sure was tasty!
I topped some leftover sautéed Kale with a Moroccan Chickpea Pattie from ED&BV. The chickpea pattie was so good. The sauce is Sesame Mustard Tahini Sauce from Vive le Vegan. I just love Dreena Burton’s cookbooks. The recipes are so good. The chickpea patties will be making an appearance at most of my lunches this week!
I also had a Doctor Kracker with it.
During the day I snacked on a few things.
Some yummy greek yogurt topped with fresh strawberries and All Bran buds.
A very crisp and sweet apple with a cheesestick.
Supper
Tonight after a busy day I just wanted something quick and easy. So it was a bison dog and beans.
I also had a small side salad of spinach and grape tomatoes.
It was really good…it has been awhile since I have any kind of hotdog.
I had a simple lemon water with my meal…my lemon slice sunk to the bottom of my glass after my ice melted.
After I cleaned up the kitchen and before sitting down to blog about my day I made myself a little dessert!
Some vanilla fro-yo topped with warmed up frozen raspberries.
Well after a busy day…I am done!
Night all!
