DAY 23

by Sheri on July 10, 2012

I kind of slept in this morning as I forgot to set my alarm and jolted awake at 7:00am!  A whole hour after I really wanted to get up!  I guess if I got myself to bed before midnight I might have got up earlier!  I need to work on getting to bed earlier at night.

Today was another hot one.  I had a look at the temperature when I got up and it was already 20 degrees out at 7am!  Crazy!

So because of the heat something ice cold and frosty was on my mind.

I whipped up a Blue-Green Smoothie extra icy this morning.  Delish!

I also prepped some coffee last night for iced coffee this morning.

I brewed a big pot of coffee last night, let it cool then transferred it to a jug and put it in the fridge.  This morning I had iced coffee….perfect.  Just added a little Coconut creamer and it was yummy!

This morning I took the boys to visit Grandma for a bit.  My cleaning lady was here today so it was good just to get out of the house and let her do her thing!  So we went to my Mom’s.  Jaxin loves Grandma’s house!  I think it is all the treats he gets there!

Zaxari had fun too!

I tried out an amazing little snack that I found on Gina’s blog.  I used cacao nibs as my chocolate as not to add any extra sugar besides the maple syrup that I put in them.  I also used natural peanut butter instead of almond butter as that is what I had on hand.

They are incredibly scrumptious!  But mine turned out a little soft..I think I will have to do a little tweaking so they are more firm.  I just put them in the freezer and that seemed to help and then stored them in the fridge.  Seriously they taste like little cookie dough balls..try them!

Was also eaten at my Mom’s.  I took along some leftover frittata to eat.

Plus I had a very sweet peach cut up on the side!  YUM!  Love leftover frittata so portable you can eat it cold or warm if you like!

I had the last small piece of good!  Along with a cut up yellow pepper.

Today was cardio..Boooyahh!

I cranked out 30/30 – 15 rounds for 15 minutes of Jump Rope and Burpees using Holly’s red, white & blue intervals trick!  Love that idea…works awesome and I push myself harder!  I completed this workout just before supper.  I actually like doing my intervals at that time as I have some good energy and it helps with hunger.

Of course with the heat and beautiful weather we grilled out tonight.

On the grill was salmon filets, asparagus and pineapple skewers!  Everything tasted great!  I really liked the pineapple skewers…a little healthy sweet dessert!

Looks like tomorrow is going to be low key and another scorcher of a day.  I might pull out Jaxin’s pool for the kids tomorrow afternoon to play in…might be fun?  We will see.

Night all!
