It has been 26 days of discipline for me of Eating Clean and working out hard!! It has been paying off big time! I am feeling great and challenging myself with every workout!
I had my Check-In with my coach on Friday and it went awesome! I was so glad to tell her lots of good things:
~ Sticking to plan 100% (except for when I was battling my cold!)
~ Eating 100% Clean! It is going on a month now with no cheats or junk! Amazing!
~ not missing one workout that I had scheduled
~ Setting a PR for me on my Treadmill workout! Running @ 6mph and an 9% incline for 40 seconds. It is a tough workout!
~ Strength gains increasing my weight on most of my exercises.
~ Attending a few Hot Yoga classes to give my muscles a good stretch.
So have there been changes….YUP! Sorry for the big frown! I need to try and smile when I take these darn pictures!
So I am down 6.9lbs and a total of 5.5 inches! I look leaner and my muscles are starting to show a little more. I have also noticed my posture is getting much better…no more slouching! I am also getting some definition in my abs…hello oblique’s! Still need to work on that butt though! HA!
Strike a pose!
Clearly I need LESSONS! and to smile! Some boobs wouldn’t hurt either! HA! Why are those always the first to go!!
But seriously I am so happy with how I am changing and the dedication and commitment I have been holding myself to these past 4 weeks! Sometimes it has not been very easy but I keep telling myself that if I stick with it it will pay off in the long run! With these kind of results I KNOW it will!
So my directions for my coach – I am doing an AMAZING job! She also has told me to incorporated ONE Free Meal per week into my meal plan! I was so unbelievably happy when I read that! ACK!! Now I am not going to go HOG Wild and pig out. I am going to think about what I truly want, take my time and enjoy it! No alcohol though…that is for after my competition! A REALLY nice bottle of red and some cupcakes! That is what I want post competition to celebrate!
So just to prove that I was not always this fit and dedicated. There was a time in my life when I was young and before I had two children that I did not look well….all that healthy!
I cannot believe I am going to show this but here it goes…
This is June 2000 I was 28 years old. This was before I found out I had melanoma on my back, before I got married and before I had two kids! I think I was around 150lbs in this picture and brave enough to put on that bikini! Bah!! what was I thinking!
Never the less my point is I am now 41 years old, in the best shape of my life and going for a huge dream! If I can do it anyone can!
You just have to want it bad enough! AND BOY DO I WANT IT BAD!!
When I googled “you have to want it bad enough fitness”
This is what I found….
My coach Fatima Leite Kusch and teammate and inspiration Theresa Jenn! But it is sooooo…true!
I have to say that I am so lucky to have found such a great coach and a spectacular bunch of ladies who offer unwavering support! They are going to be a HUGE part of my success!

Amazing! I enjoy following this journey of yours!
Keep going! Your shoulders and back have changed remarkably! By the way, the 2000 picture not as bad as you think, someone looking that way shouldn’t be ashamed to wear a bikini. But I now how it feels like, if your’re not comfortable…
Thanks Jenny! At the time I felt just fine wearing that bikini…but looking a feeling the way I do now and looking at that picture I KNOW I could have looked and felt better at that time! 🙂
You look AMAZING!! Keep up the great work, the changes you have made in 4 weeks is so great, look at those MUSCLES! You are an inspiration to follow!
Thanks so much Jennifer! 🙂
