Day 40 and a RASH

by Sheri on July 28, 2012

My day started bright and early with a sweaty and grunty workout!

Don’t I look great in the morning! HA! Waist budge and all!

TSS Phase II Workout B

The dumbbell thrusters are such a killer for me in this workout and the deadlift high pulls after whewwww!! THEN finishing off with the KB swings I am die-ING!! 3 rounds of this and I-AM-DONE but NO I still have to complete a finisher. I did V-Ups and DB Snatches with 15lbs. THEN I was DONE!

HUGE drink of water and then I had my typical post workout shake.

About an hour or so later I had breakfast. I was being a little lazy and made a Green Smoothie.

Boring but it did the trick!

After breakfast the boys and I hit the road. I wanted to go to the farmers market for some fresh veggies for the weekend.

But first I need my caffeine! Of course I made a quick stop at Starbucks.

Grande Cafe Americano Non-fat misto. Yum!

The market was CRAZY! It was pretty hard to maunuver a big stroller and two kids as well as get everything I was looking for. I was happy to leave once I had everything I needed. I usually like to go alone but that was not possible this time.

My haul:

my fav organic eggs from a local farm
Golden Beets
fingerling potatoes
2 corn on the cob
cherry tomatoes
2 red peppers
red onion
fresh peas
Crunchy Hemp Granola
pine nuts

We have plans this weekend to smoke a brisket and I am going to make a grilled potato salad to go along with it.

I took last nights leftovers and added some sauteed shrimp!

Holy crap was it good. I also added my fresh shelled peas. YUM!

I also put the last of my just about too ripe avocado on top. I also had the last of my Komucha tea. Have to get more.

Best lunch ever!

The rest of the afternoon was spent farting around with the kids.

My little cutie patootie! Also he is getting too smart for me. I thought I was being smart putting the chair in front of the stereo so he could not get to it! Yeah RIGHT!

He of COURSE crawled under the chair..duh MOM!

Hello there!

I unplugged it…needless to say it is not as much fun anymore! HA!

Farmers Market cherries!

OMG so good! Big, crisp and sweet! I love BC Cherries!

Looked a lot like supper from a couple of nights ago….

Baked Turkey Feta and Spinach Meatballs. (disregard my horrible messy oven)

To make the meatballs I just threw in what I thought would taste good.

Turkey Feta and Spinach Meatballs

1 lb extra lean ground turkey
1/4 cup crumbled light feta cheese
1/4 cup panko crumbs
1/2 cup fresh spinach chopped fine
1 garlic clove pressed
1 tsp of Sun-dried Tomato & Herb Seasoning
1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
I also used about a teaspoon of Yardbird seasoning which is a seasoning that my husband uses for the smoker grill. You could also use seasoning salt if you wanted to and omit the salt.
1 jar of your favourite sauce

Mix it all up in a bowl. Roll into balls and place into baking dish with sauce. Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.

On a bed of zucchini noodles! I am obsessed with this meal! So darn good! Good thing zucchini is in abundance right now and dirt cheep! HA!

After supper I cleaned up and then ran a few errands and then this happened!

That would be a good size RASH on the rim of my car! YUP! I rubbed the curb when I was parking and I just KNEW that I wrecked the darn rim! When I got out to look I just stood there saying…

HE is GOING to KILL ME….He is going to KILL me!!!! UGHHHHHH!!

I was soooooo mad! But really in the grand scheme of things it is JUST a car! But not in the hubby’s eyes! Anywhoo…he got mad we yelled and now it is over.

That is how my night ended pretty much. From there I went to wash the baby (aka car) so we could better see the darn rash on the rim. I also hit up the liquor store!
