Hello!
I had a lovely relaxing afternoon watching Sex in the City. I watched the first 5 episodes from season 2 so far. While I watched I munched on a little snack
Of a crisp apple and a little handful of Olympic Mix and sipped on some water. It was a great afternoon.
Once hubby got back from biking and he showered we went and had supper.
Tonight we decided to dine at the resort. We picked the Italian restaurant.
It is just up from the condo so we walked. It sits at the top of a small hill.
Once we sat down I ordered a glass of red Chianti.
We were also promptly served with fresh focaccia bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dipping..it was so good!
It had been a long time since I have had this combo and forgot how good it is! I had two pieces and shared it with J. He really liked it.
I paroosed the menu for a bit and decided to have the Orecchiette Estive pasta.
We ordered J some cheesy penne and my hubby decided on the Seafood Fettuccine.
Our meals also came with a Caesar salad which we shared. It was really good and not to garlicky.
I had a little mound and my hubby ate the rest. He was starving after being on his bike all day!
We played with the camera a little while we waited for our main dishes. Cheeeese!!
My supper was really good. It was fresh Orecchiette pasta with roasted red peppers, broccoli, Romano cheese and olive oil.
However, it was swimming in a little too much butter and olive oil. Other than that it was very good. The pasta was the right texture and a little toothy just how I like it. I did not eat the whole plate though I only ate about half of this. It was pretty rich with all that butter and oil.
I also had a taste of hubby’s supper as well. It was very good, a rich red sauce with lots of seafood.
J had a simple penne with Romano cheese sauce.
Of course this was a lot of pasta for a little guy he only had about a quarter of it plus a little bit of his daddy’s pasta.
Needless to say after this meal we were stuffed and had no room for dessert! Good thing we had a short walk back to the condo to walk it off a little.
Now I am going to pour another glass of red wine for myself and play a board game with the hubby!
Good night!
