Make it green

This morning I slept in till almost 8am as the boys were still sleeping it was lovely.  Once we were all up I got breakfast on the roll.

BREAKFAST

The return of the green smoothie!

To my blender I added a bunch of steamed kale.  I had some in the fridge that needed to be used.  So I steamed it up and rinsed it with cold water.  I like to steam it as it makes it taste a little less bitter and raw.

I also added to that 1 scoop of Chocolate Protein Powder, 1 cup of mixed frozen berries, 1 cup of Almond Milk and 1/2 of a small banana.

It was very greeeeeeen!

After breakfast I did a few things around the house.  More laundry..ugh!  I also FINALLY called and made an appointment with a lawyer to draw up a WILL.

Mmmm…..9 years of marriage and two kids later it is probably about time!  We are horrible procrastinators!  Something so important to do and we have waited FAR to long to do it!

Look what came to my front door this morning!

I love getting the new Ikea catalogue.  Came at the right time since I have plans to pick Jaxin up a new dresser.  His is completely falling apart!  It is a piece of crap!  He also needs a new bed since his toddler bed is getting a little to small for him.  Man he is growing so fast!

SNACK

I flipped through the new catalogue while I snacked on a protein ball and a coffee.

Next up cleaning out the hubby’s stinky Camelbak!  I read online that you could use Polident tabs to clean it out.  It is a cheaper alternative to what Camelbak offers and does pretty much the same thing.  I also read that some people use BLEACH!  Ummm…I think this is the safer way to go!

So I filled it up with water and plopped in a tab.

I let it sit for about 20 minutes then I drained it and rinsed it out with fresh water.  It is currently still drying out.  So far it smells a whole lot better than it did.  But I think I might have to give it another plop-plop-fizz-fizz again just to make sure it is clean.

LUNCH

Today looked a lot like yesterday.  Leftover Chicken Meatloaf Muffins.  Love’m!

Warmed them up in the microwave and topped with yellow mustard..yum!  Side of mini cucumbers and the best and sweetest mini carrots both from the farmers market.

SUPPER

Tonight supper was quick and pretty boring.  A picture is really not worthy actually.  We had chicken burgers.  We had them in half a pita.  My toppings were spinach, mustard, tomato and pickles.  I also had a side of sliced cucumbers and a big glass of water.

Today I got in 2 litres.  That is my goal but I like to do better.

Tomorrow is an early morning strength workout.  I think my partner is joining me again.  Time for bed and get myself some decent rest for a change.
