TGIF! So happy for the weekend! I love having my two days off to spend with my little family. But soon I will have everyday off to spend with my little man once I become a full-time mom. Only 1 more month to go….eek!
This morning I got up and did a great workout. I sweated it out with a weight circuit and cardio intervals. I posted the workout on my 40 Day Challenge page.
Breakfast this morning is worth blogging about since I tried the sunflower butter I received yesterday from Naturally Nutty.
I slathered it on a piece of millet toast and well….OMG!! This stuff is a-maz-ing!! I love it! So darn good!
I had it along with a very healthy green monster.
I used kale today instead of my regular spinach. I thought I would live a little. Kale is defiantly more bitter than spinach but still drinkable for me.
In the blender I put:
Kale, almond milk, small banana, Amazing Grass and blueberries.
Tonight for supper was of course pizza…and I did it up Mexican style!
I made a cornmeal pizza crust. I experimented a little with my usual crust but subbed some cornmeal in place of the flour and it worked out pretty well.
On the pizza I put Tex Mexed up ground bison that I cooked up in the pan, marina sauce, green and red pepper, green onion, black olives, and cheddar cheese. I also put jalapenos on half of the pizza. When it came out of the oven I topped it with fresh cilantro and plum tomatoes.
I started off with two pieces and went back for a 3rd because it was pretty darn yummy.
Right now I have some Oatmeal Raisin Bars in the oven. We have a little road trip planned for tomorrow morning to visit some family so I am packing some snacks to take along.
Well I am putting myself to bed early today since I have an early start on my Saturday tomorrow.
