My Clean Eats: Jan 29, 2013

So I thought I would start posting my daily clean meals when I have time.  I have been getting a few people asking what happened to my once detail logging of my daily meals?  I just thought with being on my new training program and my strict meal plan that it might get a little boring!

But if people are truly interested in what I am fueling my body with these days I am happy to share it with ya!

Today’s clean eats went like this:

Meals Jan 29

Meal 1 (not pictured) – Protein Shake made with 1 scoop of Vanilla Chocolate Protein Powder, 1 cup of water, 1 package of Starbucks Via instant coffee, dash of cinnamon, 1 tsp of raw cacao powder and ice blended up until frothy!   I wake up at 5:00am to do my workouts most days.  Today I did get up but was just not feeling it!  It is a cardio day so I know that I can fit it later if I want.  So I will be doing it after I finish this post.

My early morning protein shake looks a lot like this one which is also very good!

Mocha Smoothie

Meal 2 @ 8am – Today I had 1 Sprouted Grain English muffin topped with Peanut Butter and 1/2 a banana and a coffee. 

Meal 3 @ 10:30am – Protein Shake made with 1 scoop of Chocolate Protein Powder, 1/2 a frozen banana, 3/4 cup frozen wild blueberries, big handful of spinach and 1 tsp of Udo’s Oil.

Meal 4 @ 1:30pm – A Big old salad! A pile of spinach topped with 2 1/2 hard boiled eggs sliced, corn, black beans, grape tomatoes, celery and avocado.  I spritzed it with balsamic vinegar for a dressing.  This salad was amazing!

Meal 5 @ 5:15 pm – Salmon, sweet potato and roasted brussel sprouts.  Holy Yum was it good!

Meal 6 @ 8:00pm (not pictured) – After my cardio session I will have a serving of greek yogurt topped with 1/2 a banana and a sprinkle of Hemp Seeds.  I will probably sprinkle some cinnamon on there too!

Goal for today: get to bed by 9:30pm and lights out no later than 10pm!  I have to get myself to bed earlier these days.  I can feel my workouts suffer in the morning and that is NOT what I want!

WOD: Cardio on the treadmill…HILLS!  Ack….better get going while I still have the energy!

Thank you so much for the posts of your day. I have found a clean eating rut depending on plain ol’ baked chicken enough to make me just blah about the whole thing. You’ve helped me get a plan together with an arsenal of ideas for the next rut!
