Our 2nd day in New York was a blast and we packed A LOT into this day. We got started early by hitting up Dean & Deluca for a quick breakfast.
I had to try the coffee here since it is one of the icons of New York city!
They had so much to choose from!
I decided on a Zucchini muffin and a coffee. I had a picture of my coffee but it was one of the pictures that did not make it!
M enjoying her rye toast and coffee…yummy!
After our breakfast it was time to board the bus for our City Tour. Today we were going through the Downtown Loop. The weather was perfect for it too. It was overcast but really warm!
Cheese! We sat at the top of the bus on the outside for perfect picture taking position!
We started in Times Square. Nothing can describe Times Square it is just unbelievable and the signs and billboards are humongous!
I could not snap pictures fast enough to grab it all!
Along the way on our bus tour we passed lots of great buildings.
This is the main Post Office. Of course the building is very old and has been there forever!
I building sign saying Congrats to the World Series winners…the New York Yankees!
If you live in Manhattan and you need to park your car this is how they do it! Long term parking…crazy!
The Empire State building off in the distance.
The famous Flatiron Building. It was so lovely!
The famous Macy’s department store. Which we already visited on our first day..it was right across from our hotel.
Getting ready for Christmas.
The park where Miranda from Sex in the City married Steve! Had to take a picture.
We hopped off in Greenwich to take a walk through it and find our way to Soho.
We strolled though Washington Square Park.
Lounging on a bench!
After taking in the park we found our way to Soho. At first we went the wrong way but we figured it out and got back on track.
We also had a celeb sighting! Emma Thompson was on the street filming!
The first place we found was Bloomies!
We took a much needed bathroom break and picked up some water and took a quick look around at the store.
We got hungry so we stopped here for lunch.
This cafe had delicious sandwiches plus much more.
I decided on a Turkey breast Panini with brie cheese and veggies. It was tasty!
Since we had done so much walking around we took the subway to our next adventure.
We got on at Canal Street. This was my very first subway ride!
We took the Staten Island Ferry ride. It is free and you get to see a really good view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty along the way. It takes about an hour there and back.
Coming up to the Statue of Liberty.
It was neat seeing it up this close.
It was a grey day…but still a really nice and peaceful boat ride.
After our boat ride we hooked up with our bus tour again.
The famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
There was a dignitary staying at the hotel on this day. They hang the flag of the country when they are there. You can’t see it very well in this picture though.
When we reached Rockefeller Centre we hopped off.
It was awesome and everything I imaged it would be.
All the buildings in New York are just beautiful.
We took a bit of a walk around. Of course I was snapping pictures all over the place it is hard not too!
We chose to have a Red Velvet cupcake each.
Once we had our little treat we made our way back to the hotel for a much needed rest before dinner.
We went to a great Italian Restaurant for dinner called Tony’s Di Napoli. It was the best Italian food I have ever had. We were in heaven!!
We started with a drink at the bar.
Now I did have a few pictures from this meal but these are the photos that I lost from this day! Of course! So no pictures of the awesome meal we ate!
We started with a fresh tomato salad with mozzarella and basil dressed with a balsamic dressing. Then we had the most scrumptious chicken parmesan ever with a little pasta. Truly delicious! I also had a great glass of red Chianti with my meal which explains the last picture!
Us acting goofy wearing our Liberty crowns!
Stay tuned for New York Day 3 tomorrow.
Good night!

SOOOO Jealous! I wanna go, looks like you are having a great time!
Enjoy
