Oatmeal and a Costco run

by Sheri on August 15, 2009

I found this picture on my camera of me hard at work putting together last night’s post.  I did not even realize that my hubby took this picture because I was so into what I was doing! HA!

Deep in thought!

This morning it was my turn to get up with J (my son) so it was an early day.  The house was actually chilly this morning so I thought oatmeal would be appropriate!  I made a pot of oats with banana, cinnamon and a little flax seed to share with J.

I topped my oats with blueberries, sprinkle of coconut and of course a big spoonful of Almond Butter…so good!  I had that with a glass of H2O and a warm cup of Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder Tea in my Canada Mug.

After breakfast my husband got up and I ran to take a shower we had a Costco run planned for today.  Before we left I made myself a green juice for the road.  This is my fav combo of green apples, cucumber, lemon, kiwi and ginger.

Of course when you go to Costco that place always sucks you in and you always get a little more than you really need.  Like today…my husband got some Wii accessories and I got The Eat Clean Diet for Men…love the Eat Clean series of books and I wanted to read this one and maybe kick my hubby’s butt into gear..ha!  Also a smut mag for some good old Hollywood gossip!

Reading Material

But some important stuff too like….a box of Larabars, Stacy’s Naked Pita chips and Sabra Hummus! Drooool!  There is more but I won’t bore you with diapers, diaper pail liners and canned food.

Once we left Costco we were hungry so we decided to drop the groceries off at home and go for some sushi!  We went to one of our favorite places called Wa’s.  The sushi is so delicious and fresh!  I love their tuna sushi it just melts in your mouth.  We ordered some rolls and a few individual pieces.  I am sure a picture here would really nice to show you how wonderful it looks but I was starving and by the time I remembered I forgot to take a picture it was too late!!  Oooops!  I really have to try and get better with the picture taking!!  Plus when we have our son with us he takes top priority and he was hungry too! he loves the california rolls minus the seaweed.

This afternoon I am going to run out by myself and do a few errands at the mall!  Retail therapy is so fun!  I also just might post a few Operation Beautiful notes here or there 😉
See you later!
