That is me last night in the kitchen making my Oatmeal Raisin Bars and hubs playing with the camera and the new wide angle lens!
This shot makes my kitchen look huge!
a little less wide and if you get closer you can see what I am making!
Yummy Oatmeal Bars! Ack!!..horrible double chin!
Switch to today and I did a little shopping on my lunch to get a few things for my up and coming travels.
A light weight but warm coat from MEC for the fall weather in Vancouver and New York. Plus a sleeve for my laptop so I can throw it in my carry on bag.
Also a lovely new home for my camera and NEW lenses! I got a Crumpler camera bag.
It is called the Six Million Dollar home! HA!
It is a great size. Not to big and fits my wide angle lens, telephoto lens, flash and camera all together with even some extra space.
It has a pocket on the front for all the little stuff plus one on the inside of the lid as well. I love it. Now my camera and lenses have a comfortable home!
For supper tonight I was craving a hamburger so I whipped some up. Along with it some home-style cut French fries. It was scrumptious!
I had low fat white cheddar, sautéed mushrooms, romaine, tomato and mustard on my hamburgie!
I dipped my fries in some ketchup of course!
For dessert a small scoop of Caramel Pecan Swirl fro-yo!
Next for my evening plans is to sit and flip through my new issue of Clean Eating. Have to read how to have a healthy Holiday Feast. I can’t believe it is almost Thanksgiving!
Night all!

Homemade oatmeal raisin bars? Sign me up, por favor!
Yes they are awesome! I got the recipe from Tina at Carrots ‘N’ Cake give them a try!
Where’d you get the camera bag? I need one like that myself to fit my other lens. By the way, how do you suggest I cook my spaghetti squash? I’ve only ever done it in the microwave, but I’d like to try it the oven, just not sure how.
I got the camera bag from Saneal Camera’s here in Calgary. They have a few locations. I got mine downtown.
I find the best way to cook Spaghetti squash is in the oven. You cut it in half, take out the seeds. Put it on a rimmed cookie sheet with a little bit of water turn the half’s upside down so the flesh is on the cookie sheet and put into the oven at 450 for about 45 minutes. When done let cool a bit and then scrape out the flesh with a fork. I find cooking them in the oven brings out the flavour better. The microwave makes the squash a bit rubbery I find.
