I was up later than usually last night and just could not get myself out of bed this morning.  I hit the snooze button a few times!  I was just too tired to drag my butt out of bed.  So I decided that I needed the rest more and will fit my workout in tonight instead. 

I have been dealing with some heavy work stress and it is just wiping me out big time!  I won’t go into on the blog but it should all be over by tomorrow and then hopefully things will get back to normal on a stress level anyway.

Breakfast this morning was egg inspired again.  Sometimes I just love my eggs and lately that is what I have been whipping up in the morning.

Today it was simply and over easy egg on a whole wheat pita!  I just love this combo so much!  It is easy and so delicious.

Nutritional Clean up

I was thinking about my nutrition lately and well there are a few things I could do to clean it up a little since I have done my fair share of indulging this summer.

I was reading Jenna’s post on Eat, Live, Run the other day and she got me thinking about it more.  So I have decided to join Jenna and clean up my eating and focus on these things more in the coming month.  Because the next big indulgence on my list is going to be my two trips coming up and then after that is Thanksgiving and Christmas…does it ever end!

Da list!

reduce wine intake – I had my fair share over my mini holiday that is for sure.

drink more herbal tea and water

reduce caffeine intake (we will see if this works I LOVE my coffee!)

reduce dark chocolate consumption (sometimes I go overboard)

Choose a new grain to cook with per week for the next month (I have a few recipes I want to try)

Drink more green smoothies (I get such great energy from them!)

Try and have fresh squeezed juice in the morning before I start my day

veggies

reduce sweet treats

watch my portion sizes

Beans all kinds and soy

This is by all means not a diet for me.  I am at a healthy and happy weight!  What I know is when I eat clean and healthy I feel GREAT!  So this is purely for me to clean up my act a little and try and focus on eating as healthy as possible before my trips and the holidays approach.
