I can’t believe that August is over already and that fall is almost upon us! I have great trips planned for this fall so in a way I can’t wait!
This morning started out great because I am back on my regular exercise schedule! Today I did my weight circuit and some interval cardio to finish it off. It felt great!
Weight Circuit:
Dumbbell Swing x 12 (15 lbs)
Decline Push-Up x 10
1 Leg Dead-lift x 12 (body weight)
Dumbell Row Underhand x 12 (15 lbs)
Medicine Ball Mountain Climber x 15
Reverse Crunch x 15
Cardio Intervals consisted of a full ten minutes of 30 seconds activity and 30 seconds of rest. For my activity I did mountain climbers, box steps, burpees, running in place and jumping jacks for my rest period I marched it out. I was pretty sweaty at the end!
This morning I kept my breakfast simple and green.
A yummy green monster in my Amazing Grass to go cup! Love this thing! In my monster today was 1 scoop of Amazing meal, 1/2 banana, 1 cup Almond Breeze, flax seed and the rest of my kale. I also had my java to go as well in my insulated mug. I was good to go for a Monday morning!
Of course Monday’s at work are sooooo much fun! (sarcasm there) my morning went by fairly quickly with my usual morning meeting to start the week.
For lunch today I brought some of the leftover omlete from Sunday and a green salad. The omlete was so good!
Having it with the salad was perfect. I also had a black plum, Kashi crackers and my Adora disc (aka calcium) along with a green tea to wash it down. It was a very satisfying lunch.
I also brought along the rest of my Cranberry Orange Scones to share with the office…they were gone by then end of the day and I got a lot of compliments! I love sharing my baking every once in a while at the office it is a good way to get rid of the extras that I don’t need at home! (plus I had one as my morning snack…shhhhhh!)
When I got home from work today a wonderful package I had been waiting for finally arrived!
My Operation Beautiful necklace! It is so cute and I love it!
I will need to wear it and let the ribbon part unbend a little! It came a long way through the mail. Plus Catlin emailed me to let me know that my Operation Beautiful note was up on Sunday! Would you believe my note is still on the mirror in the ladies washroom at my work! I think it will be there for a while
I was starving when I got home tonight so as I was preparing dinner I had a little snack of Stacy’s Naked Pita chips and Sabra Hummus.
Appropriately in my heart dishes! I <3 me some hummus and chips!
Supper tonight was a little something from Eat, Drink and be Vegan.
I always try and get veggies into my boys so I thought this would be the perfect avenue..notice it says CHOCK FULL OF SPINACH! Evil cackle…..
It was easy to prepare and tasty! Now I know that shrimp are not part of the recipe but in this house we are carnivores so I sautéed some shrimp and put them on top. I also did a little cheese toast with some sharp white cheddar to have with it. Yummo!
This meal was filing and satisfying!
After I finished cleaning up the kitchen I decided to have a little dessert.
A frozen yogurt sandwich…it was cool, creamy and it satisfied my sweet tooth!
Now I have a few things to do before I call it night..better get to it!
Have a great night!
