So simple Kale Chips…the raw way

Oct 12

I had some Kale in the fridge and it needed to be used soon.  So I thought why not make some Kale Chips for my snacks this week!  I decided to use our dehydrator and went for it.

What you need is the following…

IMG_7092 Crisp clean kale about two heads.

IMG_7097 A few simple ingredients: EVOO, Nutritional Yeast and Tamari.

IMG_7102and a deluxe dehydrator!

My hubs uses this to make his beef jerky and I have barely used it so I thought I have this great appliance I should make more use of it!  This is not your ordinary home dehydrator though.  It is quite large and pretty loud, 80L and 1600 watts!  My hubs attitude is GO BIG baby!  So he did!  He got this Cabela’s model and it works very well.

I washed may Kale and but it in a very large bowl.  I drizzled the 3 ingredients over the kale.

IMG_7107 Then it got a little messy!  I massaged all the good stuff into the Kale.

IMG_7112 Then I put it onto the trays in the dehydrator.

It takes about 8 hours for them to do their crisping and in the morning I will have lovely Kale chips!  I can’t wait to try them!

Tomorrow I will have something special to share…my first Vlog!  Come by and have a look…I will be sharing something I use everyday! ;)

Good Night!
