I had a good sleep last night and woke up this morning bounced out of bed and cranked out my workout.  I did my usual weight circuit and cardio.

I did body weight intervals this morning…30 seconds ON and 30 seconds of REST done 10 times which is 10 minutes of course.

I did the following moves:

  • Running in place
  • skipping
  • mountain climbers
  • burpees
  • box steps

I just mixed it up a little as I went along.  I was pretty tired by the end of it…the burpees are killer!

I decided to go a little light with breakfast since I had plans to eat my lunch out.  So I made a Chocolate protein smoothie.

IMG_6538 I blended up 1 scoop of Chocolate protein powder, 1 cup Almond Milk, 1 tbsp Almond Butter, 1/2 a banana, and ice.  No spinach as I had run out! But it was still delish!  I also had a small piece of Ezekiel toast with a small swipe of jam.

I was busy at work this morning.  I am preparing for our district meeting next week so lots to do!

I broke for a snack around 10 am and had an Oatmeal Raisin bar…no picture!  I scarfed it down too fast! Heeee!

Today I planned to go out for lunch.  The weather was so nice and plus I don’t usually leave the office very often for lunch since I have to get in my car and drive to go anywhere.  It is kind of a PITA!

However today I went and had a little sushi!  I went to this little sushi place that is not too far from my office.  They serve pretty good sushi there and it is always fresh.

I started with a little green tea and since I was dining alone I brought my book to read.

P1030172 I was pretty hungry and they serve the best miso soup so I started with that.  But because I was so hungry I forgot to snap a pic!  Ah well…it is just broth in a bowl nothing real exciting to see.

For my main meal I had their Rainbow Roll

P1030173 It looked very pretty when she placed it in front of me.  This was a California roll wrapped in Shrimp, Red Tuna, Salmon and Unagi!  I had never tried eel before so I thought I would give it a try. Weeeeellll…I am sorry to say I am not a fan!  I really liked the bbq’d taste but I was not crazy about the texture at all!  I really enjoyed the rest of it but sadly left the eel on my plate.

After I was done my lunch I ran a few errands before heading back to the office.

I filled my van with gas

P1030177 and replenished my stock of spinach that I was missing this morning

P1030179 I also got the new issue of Shape so I can read Tina’s debut! and also thought I would try out the POM Wildberry White Tea.

I left work a little early today so I could get home earlier and get supper going earlier since we had a home visit for J and she was coming at 6pm.

Tonight I needed quick and fast so I pulled this out of my pantry

IMG_6599 A short cut to a pretty tasty Indian inspired meal!  This sauce has all natural ingredients which is what kind of won me over.

IMG_6600 I threw some basmati rice in the rice cooker while that was doing it’s thing I chopped up some veggies to “beef” up the sauce a bit.

IMG_6604 Patty pan squash, red pepper and cherry tomatoes.  I also fried up some chicken breast to add as well (not pictured).

IMG_6611 It all came together nicely!

IMG_6612 Oh, I just noticed that I did add some spinach at the last moment to the pan!  The flavours of this were pretty good considering the sauce came out of a can.

After dinner we had J’s home visit that was for about an hour.  It was fun he got to play with some new and interesting toys and we got to see him shine on the things that he is getting better at.  Give my kid a good shape sorter box to play with and he is happy for hours! Hah!

Once that was done I decided I would give my new tea pot a whirl!  I have this really great loose bedtime tea called Dream Catcher.

IMG_6620 I got this at the Stampede this year.  It tastes wonderful!  When I read that it Induces sleep, calms and reduces anxiety I knew it was for me!

IMG_6614 The ingredients are St. John’s Wort, Chamomile, Hibiscus, Sage and Wild Mint.

IMG_6616 1 teaspoon into the Tea Master!

IMG_6621 Add boiling water

IMG_6623 I like to let it steep for 3 minutes.

IMG_6628 After steeping place the cut little pot on my tea cup and watch it drain in a flash!

IMG_6629 and voila! a perfectly brewed cup of tea with NO leaves or sediment!  It was awesome!  I love this thing!  Plus it is a snap to clean out the pot just rinse and it is clean!

Now….I think that tea is kicking in and I am getting sleepy!  Time to do a little light reading (Shape Mag) and go to sleep!

Catch ya in the AM!
