Driving home in this however, is not!

P1030330 We went right from summer to WINTER!  Totally crazy!  Not all the roads in the city were this bad as I got closer to home it got a lot better! 

My morning was better though!  I got up early and knocked out a interval workout that included:

  • Dumbell Swings
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Mountain Climbers

Intense workout that last about 10 minutes.

Breakfast this morning called for a warm bowl of oats.

IMG_6979 In my bowl was:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup Almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • small banana
  • 2 tbsp of Flax Granola
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp of Pecan Pumpkin butter
  • 1 spoonful of Almond Butter

Work was work today…blah..blah.

For lunch I finally finished off the rest of the eggplant parm!

P1030318 I warmed it up and put the gooey goodness on a whole wheat sandwich thin! Delish!

I had some red pepper strips along with it.

During my lunch break I left the office to fill my van up with gas for the drive home and boy am I glad that I did!  It was already getting very cold and extremely windy at that time.  I almost froze to death pumping my gas!

I also stopped at the bookstore to pick up a travel guide for Vancouver to do a little planning!  I have been to British Columbia a bunch of times but have never stayed in Vancouver so I am looking forward to it!  I just love B.C. it is such a lovely province.

IMG_6984 I am having so much fun planning my trips!  Vancouver at the end of the month for the U2 concert and then New York 1 week later in November!  Eeeeek!

The guide I got for Vancouver is great and has some great little self guided tours you can take.

I plan on doing this one!

IMG_6988 This tour sounds fantastic and I can’t wait to do it!  I will be taking lots of pictures of all my adventures while I am there.  So be on the look out for my recaps!  We will be there for 5 days in total and will have lots of time to do little trips plus also fit in a spa visit!

Before leaving work today I thought I would put this in my to-go cup for the drive home.

P1030325 A friend at work gave it to me to try.  These little convenience packages of Starbucks coffee are a good idea since I really do not like the coffee that is supplied at my office at all!  One of the reasons I drink tea during the day if I am cold.  However, they are pretty darn expensive! There are about 12 in a box and the box is $12 bucks in CAD!  So that is a buck a pack…hmmm a little to rich for my blood!

Anyway…my thoughts are if you do not have a pretty big mug the coffee with be super strong!  Even with my big mug it was still pretty strong even after adding the cream!  It was ok, but the coffee was a bit bitter!  The after taste lingered for quite some time.  When I get Starbucks I usually get a Latte as I find their coffee straight up pretty strong.  I may consider these handy little packets if I was travelling or something but on a regular basis I probably would not bother.

So because of the weather I did not get home until late.  When I got home I was not in the mood to cook.  So I sent hubs out for fast food!

P1030331 ACKKKKKK!  We do not do this often so I feel once in a while is fine.

I had my fav a spicy chicken sandwich HOLD the yucky mayo!

P1030332 I love the spiciness of the coating on the chicken!

As my side I had a plain baked potato.

P1030334 I put a dollop of sabra hummus on it and seasoned it with a good helping of pepper.  The potato was huge and I only at about half of it.

P1030335 I also had some cucumber slices and some grape tomatoes.  In the cup is a diet coke…I did not drink too much of it as pop is too fizzy for me and for that reason I pretty much don’t ever drink it. 

Well now that my belly is nice and full from supper…I shall continue with my trip planning this evening and watch a little PVR’d Biggest Loser!
